It’s been a real treat to share my love of the natural world with others and to offer this program to you. For many years now I’ve enjoyed using animal and nature symbolism as a fun way to problem solve and glean insights about my own life—some of my muses are in the photos above.
Take the dark velvety furred mole—when I saw it, I was pondering some of my work projects and worrying that they were taking longer to create than I thought they should. The Mole and the way it moved through the grass reminded me that the path toward what I want won’t necessarily look like a ‘perfect’ straight line. I can feel and sense my way toward what I want and what feeds me in each moment and remember that it might take me under and through new wonderful places I never expected. The mole’s soft fur also reminds me to soften into the moment because it feels better.
The lovely hummingbird pictured symbolizes to me how important it is to fuel myself (physically, emotionally, and spiritually) so I can take off and be myself from a place of wellness. It also reminds me to honor my boundaries. If you’ve ever watched one guarding a feeder it has claimed as its own, you will see that hummingbirds are fierce and unafraid to chase off any intruders in their territory. They beautifully tend and honor their space.
A gift I get from nature as a whole is the reminder to be myself. An oak tree doesn’t try to be a sugar maple, and it doesn’t attempt to make sap for syrup instead of acorns. If given the space, trees will continue to grow and fill out the shape that they are meant to be during their lifetime. They are divinely in tune with the rhythms of nature and their place on the earth. Allowing myself to be and fill out the shape that I am physically, mindfully, emotionally, and spiritually is a blessing. I believe it’s a blessing for YOU to be who you are, too.
I’m also excited to share some fabulous new exercises I’ve been learning in the Nature Based Coach Training I’m taking—I’m loving them! And I believe if you’re intrigued by this offering that you’ll love them too!!
One of the best parts of this practice, I find, is that you start to have a greater awareness of your surroundings and the rhythms and natural cycles of life—and life starts to feel more expansive and open as you purposely start to tune in to nature and your own natural rhythms and cycles in a new way.
Here’s some of what you’ll be learning and playing around with in this class:
- How connecting and observing animals and the natural world can help you problem solve and inform you about your own true nature and about living in ways that feel good to you.
- You’ll learn about the Life-Death-Life Cycle — the Infinity Loop
- You will be led through guided meditations and have a chance to play around with taking pictures in nature that delight and speak to you.
- Nature and the Ripple Effect: You will practice noticing what you are rippling out into the world, and learn how to be more intentional about it and about connecting with how you want to feel.
* When you sign up for the program you’ll also receive a 50 min one-on-one coaching session for support in deepening your practice and to process your class experience with me. You can schedule your one-on-one session with me anytime during the month of classes or the month after.
**I’m only including 6 participants so that we can have a fun, intimate group where everyone will have a chance to share what’s showing up for them each week and what insights they’re noticing. The small group size will also allow me to have individual time to support and offer feedback each week to all of you who join. Yay!! 🙂
