I love sharing what I’ve learned about the magical power of emotions. For the past four years I’ve been studying emotional intelligence and learning about the inherent benefits of all our emotional states. (As it turns out, there are no “bad” emotions—they are all a natural part of a healthy psyche!) I’ve also gathered tools for working with emotions that I practice and use on a regular basis. It has made a profound difference in the quality of my life. Subsequently, I am passionate about sharing the benefits with you!
As a Highly Sensitive Person (yes it’s a thing!) I’ve often been overwhelmed by the energy of my emotions and my reactions to life circumstances. When things would go wrong, as they sometimes do, I would either implode (try to stuff my feelings in and unconsciously distract myself with food, drinks, TV, etc.) OR I would explode and get cranky at my nearest and dearest. I didn’t know how to channel my emotional energy in ways that were supportive and empowering to me. It was like being Harry Potter before he found out he was a wizard and had magical powers—I could feel the energy and power behind my emotions, but I didn’t know how to work with it.
You too are a wizard when it comes to emotions (and probably lots of other things!)—but, like me, you may not be aware of it. That’s what this course is all about—learning how to use the magic of your emotions to support you and live in ways that feel really good to you. It’s not about perfection—like any practicing wizard, no matter how good your magic skills are, you may still have rough days. This is about building your awareness around your emotions with compassion and kindness to create the resilience that helps you maintain peace no matter what you’re feeling.
